Sodic East Sports Building
In early 2023, I had the privilege of consulting on an exciting project located in Sodic East in New Cairo, Egypt. This project centered around the design and development of a cutting-edge gym and sports building, with my primary focus on the gym area.
Interior
Central to the design philosophy is the incorporation of the color yellow, strategically utilized to create an energetic environment that inspires and motivates. Yellow is often associated with optimism, vitality, and enthusiasm, making it the perfect hue to infuse the gym and sports building with a sense of vibrancy and dynamism.
As users step into the facility, they are greeted by a burst of yellow accents adorning the walls, equipment, and signage. This bold use of color instantly uplifts the mood and energizes the atmosphere, setting the stage for invigorating workouts and spirited competition.
For the gym, my objective was to create a space that facilitated optimal workout experiences while inspiring users to achieve their fitness goals. I carefully planned the layout to maximize floor space, ensuring ample room for a variety of exercise equipment and activities. Natural lighting and strategic placement of mirrors were incorporated to enhance the sense of openness and motivation. Additionally, I paid special attention to the flow of traffic within the gym, ensuring easy navigation and accessibility for all users.
Through careful consideration of both form and function, the gym emerged as an integral component of the sports building, contributing to its overall success in promoting health, wellness, and community engagement in the vibrant setting of Sodic East in New Cairo, Egypt.
